Roland Projects has developed a software product family called System 90 which is aimed at call/transaction processing to provide telecommunication and information services for POTS (Plain Old Telephone Services) , ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network), IPTV-VoD (Video on Demand), and VoIP (Voice Over IP) markets.
Licensing rights to System 90 were acquired by Advanced Intelligent Networks Corporation and packaged with additional engineering to create the SohoNet software system. SohoNet software provides the core technology for the SohoStar global network.
SohoStar currently provides Voice, Video and Data services. The SohoNet software is a scalable solution providing real-time application management and control from embedded system appliances (phones, entertainment systems, and home controllers) up to fault-tolerant network service elements doing MPLS services for fiber.
